Hey all!
I think this will probably be my last post here, because a couple of friends have bugged me into getting a livejournal instead. I'm actually having a lot of fun on it, mainly because it supports communities and allows my obessions to fester without annoying anyone ^_~.
Thankyou for reading this blog and commenting as much as you have, it's really apprieciated. I'll still come and vist yours, and do feel free to drop me a note down at my lj. If you have one yourself, add me as a friend!
Anyway, I hope I haven't disappointed/annoyed anyone too much by moving... (If you have the urge to move, too, ljs are free, by the way..! *nudge nudge* ^_~)

Mean Girls & Misc Pictures
Mood: *singing Fireman Sam*
I saw Mean Girls last night with Claire, Sadie, Piper, and Greg. It was actually a lot better than I expected; really quite a good movie! It's not just another teen flick, is the point I'm trying to make. Although I don't know if any school is actually like that... I don't even know the names of the popular girls at my school. Although that may just be because I genuinely don't care and go out of my way to look dorky... *taps fingers* *shrugs*
And now... *drumroll* For some completely random pictures! Excellent!
This has got to be one of the best pictures ever.
To the left is a ferret. To the right is a dog. Either that is a microscopic ferret or that is a giant dog... O_O Either way, it's just a weird picture I wanted to share.
Hee..! Sounds like a pretty good toolbar to me!

*laughs stupidly at the above quote* (Oh, and if you're wondering, that's from a Stargate fanfic, it's not directed at me ^_^)
Well, yes, this is just a quick note before I get pulled back into the mass of Stargate fanfic I'm reading. I found a treasure trove full of it and have been reading it all day. Probably not the most healthy thing to do, but certainly entertaining! ^_^
The weekend was fine, if not a little busy. Did lots of chores and stuff, went to dinner with family friends a couple of times, watched a couple of DVDs... You know, the usual.
Now I have the 'Fireman Sam' song stuck in my head from a Stargate music video! Hee hee, that one's excellent. If you like Stargate, or just know of Sam (Samantha Carter, in this case), go download it! It's only about 1.7kbs.

Oh yes, and while I'm at it, I thought I'd leave you with this other Stargate music video. Yes, it's pretty much a Sam/Jack video, which I'm usually not fond of, but this is just great. It's very clever, and while I was confused for a little while (It's times like this I realise I'm thicker than I think), after 10 seconds or so I caught on quick enough. Mood: A little low...
Music: I Am, I Feel - Alisha's Attic
Claire and I went around to Jane's place last night to watch a movie with her family. They suggested Love Actually, even though Claire was the only person out of the 5 of us that hadn't seen it before. I thought it was okay the first time - nothing to rave about. But I ended up almost crying at the end of it on the way home... Not because it overly happy, not because it was terribly sad (it's not at all), but because everyone links up with someone at the end. Other romantic comedies only have one or two couples getting together, but when it's like 10 it sort of hits you in the head. It made me feel really lonely...
Anyway, I won't see any more large-scale romantic comedies any time soon. No more for me. Starting Over is on in 25 minutes so I can enjoy watching women with far more issues than I ^_^ For the moment Brit Pop will do... XD

Random Things I've Wanted To Blog But Just Haven't

Ummm, yes, for the theme of this post see the title. ^_^
Holidays = Downloading.
Namely Xena music vids and a fair number of songs. I now have a new favourite band, called Alisha's Attic. I mean, come on, they have 'attic' in the band's name and one of their lyrics is "I feel like I wanna smash his face in," so what's not to love? ^_~ *grins and sings* Thankfully I am alone in the house, because I was almost kicked out of the choir in year seven... *glances around*
And now some fairly Xena related things, but they may well apply to other kinds of fanfic and music videos... *steeples fingers*
Top Ten Things That Almost Always Happen In Uber Stories, No Matter What The Characters, Setting, Or Time Period: (Yes, that was a long title... O_O)
1. One of the characters will have nightmares which mysteriously disappear after they meet another character.
2. One of the characters will have parents that are mean, generally awful, and super controlling.
3. One of the characters will have unpleasant exes that keep popping up throughout the story.
4. All the characters will have enough issues to keep a shrink booked for a year.
5. Someone in the story will get very sick and will have to be nursed back to health.
6. Someone in the story will die.
7. The two main characters will meet through work, or at least something work related.
8. The characters will have at least one big fight that will end in tears.
9. One of the characters will be obsessed with excercise and going to the gym.
10. It's always the characters' siblings that make them realise they're idiots.
Ton Ten Xena Music Video Points..: (Ummm yes, kinda a disguise for a rant... But oh well! XD)
1. If you can't be bothered to crop and mix the clips, I can't be bothered to download it.
2. Please don't leave a couple of seconds in the middle of the song blank. That's so annoying..!
3. Use clips that actually RELATE to the lyrics... Don't just get random ones that generally relate to the song... There's a big difference.
4. Slo mo is bad.
5. Use clips that go with the beat of the song.
6. If you're going to do a comedy vid, please make sure it is actually funny.
7. Do not use that same clip in every one of your vids, no matter how much you love it.
8. Flicking back and forth between two clips just gives me a headache.
9. Yes, whatever weird idea or pairing you have, it can be successfully executed in music vids, but the trick is picking the right song, which seems to be increasingly difficult for vidders.
10. Wherever possible, make your file size smaller!
Oooh, and lookey here, my Alti music vid is 99% downloaded...! Excellent! ^_^ I must go watch it.

I'm really hyper! Well, speak of the devil, my report just arrived today! And it was perfectly good, but that's not why I'm excited; Miss West wrote "I especially enjoyed hearing music from Xena Warrior Princess." *skips around grinning stupidly* By the Gods! They mentioned Xena in my report!! XD That's so amazing! And who says teachers don't write original comments... ^_^ Despite her threat to kick me out of the class if I mentioned Xena again, Miss West rules! Hee hee hee...
